Moving to Secane, PA?
Discover the seamless commuting options available at Bishop Hill Apartments. Whether you’re a professional or a student, you’ll find the convenience of stress-free travel to nearby destinations thanks to our proximity to several local SEPTA regional rail stations.
Let’s explore the accessibility and advantages that Bishop Hill Apartments offer.
Secane Train Station
Less than a mile away, the Secane Train Station emerges as an extremely convenient choice for commuting Bishop Hill residents who need to travel to the Media or Wawa areas in Delaware County (Delco) or as far as Temple University in Philadelphia.
Reviews from area commuters like you highlight the station’s recent upgrades, impeccable maintenance, and well-lit ambiance during the night.
The onsite parking lot offers ample space for your vehicle, and a small indoor waiting area ensures comfort during cold and rainy weather.
With handicapped accessible ramps and a bike rack, the station caters to diverse commuter needs. Plus, the proximity to local stores ensures you can grab a cup of coffee and other commuting essentials before your trek to work or school.
Despite not running 24/7, the Secane Train Station remains a reliable hub with a schedule that accommodates most professionals and students, with the last ride around midnight and resuming at 5 am.
Clifton-Aldan Train Station
Located just a little over a mile away in Clifton Heights, the Clifton-Aldan Train Station serves the Media/Wawa Line and is conveniently located near the SEPTA Route 102 trolley station.
With a 110-space parking lot, it caters to those commuters who prefer not to drive into the crowded city or deal with rush hour traffic throughout Delco. Although its outward appearance presents the image of a landmark stone building, the station was also part of SEPTA’s recent upgrade efforts.
Primos Train Station
Occupying a prominent location in the heart of Upper Darby Township, the Primos Train Station, which is less than a mile away from our apartment community, also connects commuters to the Media/Wawa Line. Found at Oak and Secane Avenues, this station adds another layer of flexibility to your commuting choices.
Not as lavish as other local regional rail stations, SEPTA’s Primos location features a ticketing office housed in a trailer and a roofed open-air shelter on the platform for boarding and disembarking. A small onsite parking lot accommodates 52 vehicles, making the Primos station a good option for commuters who prefer to bike, walk, or ride-share to the station.
Springfield Road Station
For commuters who prefer the SEPTA Route 101 trolley, the Springfield Road Station is under two miles away.
Located in Springfield Township, this station on Springfield Road allows commuters to easily travel to 69th Street Terminal in Upper Darby and Orange Street in the heart of the county seat in Media.
The well-lit parking lot accommodates approximately 30 vehicles, including designated areas for handicapped drivers. Additional complimentary parking can be found near the outbound tracks adjacent to North Rolling Road.
